4. Adjust buy/sell
Mark introduced "Trailing Orders" which is a way to lock in profit. There are
pros and cons to using them. They can prevent losses, and they can maximise
profit on a rapidly-rising share. Would have worked VERY well for us on BPB,
where we sold too soon.
Decided to try it out on a couple of shares and watch what happens.
Mark will examine some of our current shares and look at daily fluctuations to
allow us to set trailing stop prices.
5. Paperwork
6. Homework
Mark N recommended ITIS Holdings, SatNav. New technology based on mobile phone
position which feeds into the system and optimises route based on traffic.
Linking into the TomTom network, which is growing rapidly. Share price rose then
fell. AIM stock, relatively low volume. International tracking of stolen
vehicles, vehicle location, mileage. Good growth pattern. No PE at present
because not in profit. 2SB. No divi.
Cobbs recommended Trafficmaster, similar to above chart falling, recently rising
slightly.
Pablo recommended Air Partner APE. Broker supplying chartered aircraft to banks,
Queen etc. Recently special divi issued. 1SB. Pretax profits up 29%, sales up
23%. Graph steadily rising. Divi 3%. PE 17.8.
Mark de H recommended Go Ahead Group, integrated public transport service with
6% of UK market. Recommended on Digital Look Heat Map. Recently won franchise on
franchise in Kent (with SNCF) should be profitable. 3SB 2B 4N. expected growth
11% next year. Divi 4%. Graph steadily rising. PE 11.1.
Mark de H recommended Stonemartin, corporate support services. Buy buildings and
rent them out to companies. Big new building in Bristol.
7. Voting
We have £3000 to spend. Couldn't decide whether to buy one or two shares so
Cobbs and Mark did paper scissors stone. Cobbs won.
ITIS won first vote, £2000. High/low sell +/-20%
Go Ahead won second vote £1000. High/low sell +/-20%
Mark will buy these Tues.
8. AOB
9. Next Meeting
