4. Officers

No changes to Club Officers. Carried unanimously.

Cobbsy unanimously voted as Keeper Of The Black Box - Club archives.

5. Contributions

Good time to reconsider contributions. Several members agreed to increase from £25 to £30. Send letter to your bank if you want to increase your contribution - email me if you want an electronic copy.

6. Homework

During the meeting we looked at Psion, Pilkington, Sage, Lonmin (Cobbsy's successful share in the Sunday Times Fantasy Shares), Express Dairies.

Cobbsy did some homework - Lonmin and Innogy.

Lonmin gold and platinum mining company. Graph looks good, big dividend.

Innogy. Generation and sale of electricity; were part of National Power, see previous meetings. Uk-invest buy/sell recommendations mixed.

PiperHawk - new company doing ground-penetrating radar. Used for pipelines, identifying mines etc. Leave until net meeting for more research.

Sage (Bob's recommendation) graph is going down, but are a solid company dragged down by the market. Sage make accounting software for businesses. But no cash, huge debts, crap dividends. Doesn't look good in the short term.

Pablo did some homework.

Alphameric EPOS software and bookie software. Shares hit by foot-and-mouth as a result, so could be a good buy at the minute. PE ratio of 118 - high risk.

RPS. Provision of environmental services e.g. Health and safety. This market will expand in future with current scares in health. Graph steadily rising over 2 yrs, dipped recently. Earnings per share high against others in the sector - 30 against 16 average. P/E ratio high 47.

Poptones. Alan McGee's new record label. Alan McGee owned Creation Records (Oasis and Primal Scream). Very risky, will depend on signing good bands. Planning to expand into multimedia, showcase bars, cheaper CDs.

John did some homework.

Oxford Glyco. Pharmaceuticals, esp. devices (Intra-Vaginal Ring to release hormones) one of which . Recommended by Credit Suisse, who reckon the share is undervalued. Appear to be losing a lot of money, don't know why.

Galen, Pharmaceuticals esp. devices (Intra-Vaginal Ring to release hormones) one of which. Tipped by Uk-invest who reckon the share is undervalued. Graph too high...

We voted on:

Innogy
Lonmin
Poptones
RPS
Oxford Glyco
