MINUTES

1. Current situation

C+W currently 891, -1%
S+N currently 526, +28%
Tadpole currently 51, +18%
WPP currently 773, -7%

Money in pot £1367.20

This month Mark and Cobbs will put in enough to make the pot up to £2000 and we agreed to by 2 lots of £1000 worth.

2. Adjust Low/high sell prices to lock in profit

S+N Low sell price is 320, adjust 500
C+W Low sell

Agree to SELL at 11am or 4pm but buy at 1pm. This seems to give us better deals.

3. Tadpole News. Share issue imminent - current shareholders offered 1 share at 45p for each share currently held. If there's no dealing fees we should do it. It's only £20 or so - we only hold 399 shares. John to find out more.

4. Homework

Mark:
Claims Direct insure before or after and accident, will sue for you post-accident. New laws allow greater scope for suing to recover losses. This might take off, it might not. Turnover shows
big growth. Graph has recently dropped loads, don't know why. Was tipped highly a while ago... maybe a short-term gamble?

Zen Research. Intellectual property company selling stuff to CD manufacturers (optical pickups etc). IP becoming big business. Graph has been steadily dropping since September. Maybe we need more info.

Psion. Currently valued at less than breakup value. The price is very low. Psion own 28% of Symbian which is rumoured to be floated soon. We all know what the graph looks like, especially John...

Cobbs:
Kewill Systems (KWL). Electronic systems linking businesses to allow easy selection of shipping stuff, e-commerce etc. Graph has dropped a lot since March but they are highly tipped. Volume is over 1 million. Linked with Microsoft.net - next generation MS software will be totally internet linked.

Pablo:
Rolls-Royce. Recently won lots of contracts, recently for gas-combine power station in Brazil. Had some problems with long-term contracts but these semm over. Also other big deals for engines for airlines and Royal Navy. Graph has been high until Sept 2000, currently 199, 12 month target 289 (Merrill-Lynch, RR house broker). 12 month high 260, 5 year high 300. Have we missed the boat?
RR all-employee share scheme matures in Jan, so this might affect the price, depending on the scheme. Volume 6 million.

John:
Screen. Do anti-fraud hardware and software e.g. for credit card transactions. Tipped on discussion boards and personal recommendations. Not much info available. New company, high 30 in Mar, currently 9p. Current volume 1 million.

JP:
Pressac make telecom and industrial components, especially for cars and packaging industry. Recommended by Yahoo. Volume about 200k.

Radstone Technology make rugged digital circuit boards primarily for miltary and industrial markets. Also high-reliability computer systems. Strongly tipped by Yahoo and Uk-Invest. volume 68K - low.

5. New shares.

We need to choose 2 - we voted on:

Zen, Kewill, Radstone, RR, Pressac, Claims Direct, Psion.

David voted via MS Messenger.

Kewill won. Tie on Psion and Rolls-Royce. Revoted on these two -Psion won.

Psion. Buy below 250. Low sell price 190, high sell price 500.

Kewill. Buy below 450. Low sell price 300, high sell price 600.

6. New Members

Brett, David and Tim have signed up. One more potential to join.

If members are not at a meeting and we have the facilities we will use MSN Messenger at the voting stage. We will look at ways of making it easier for members to get info ahead of or during a meeting and voting.
